Keith is a general surgery resident at UCSF Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Purdue University. While at Purdue, Keith led the engineering student council, received a gubernatorial appointment to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, and was named ‘Intern of the Year' by the Indiana Senate. He worked at Abbott and Akina on bioidentification and nanoparticulate drug delivery and created a phone-based point-of-care EKG. He later obtained his medical degree from Indiana University where he served as president of the Gold-Humanism Honor Society and worked on a patented ECMO antibody-filtration system at MIT. He is a Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellow and developed a kidney preservation device to improve transplant outcomes.
