WIPs & Journal Clubs

DoS WIP

Participation in conferences and work-in-progress (WIPS) sessions are a critical element of research education. These research events present opportunities to listen to and engage with the presentation of science, importantly both within and outside of your direct research area to provide a broad view of the surgical research landscape. WIP sessions specifically provide a friendly venue to present your work with the aim of soliciting feedback and advice. Finally, conference series and WIPs offer a research community for networking and professional development.

ZSFG Surgery Research WIP

The goal of this WIP is to share, brainstorm, promote, and collaborate on research that is happening within the Department of Surgery at ZSFG. Different residents/fellows/PIs present 10–20-minute presentations each month followed by brief project updates from each PI to facilitate collaborations. Individuals are welcome to join at any time with the exception of twice yearly fellow-focused meetings.

Meets on the first Thursday of each month 12-1pm.
